Sharing Sunday Scriptures to aid our Parenting Journey

Sharing is caring and the same applies to Sunday Scriptures with nuggets.

Sharing God’s words

Happy reading!

Read and share with others.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 New International Version (NIV)

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Applying the above to our parenting journey. My message is to strive to be joyful. No one said there won’t be challenges, stress, anxiety, sadness and all in the course of child rearing.

It is a well-known fact that raising children in the world today is quite disconcerting than in the past. It is, in fact, taxing, to say the least. Having said that, it does not mean that one should give up at any sign of difficulty. Far from it, we must rise above the challenge by being intentional, learning from reliable sources (the Bible, people, experiences being some of the sources ), using appropriate skill sets and working hard to achieve success in areas of difficulty.

It is important to learn to be thankful even when things appear to be extremely tough. Count yourself blessed to be a parent/caregiver. It is an honour and you will reap the rewards of your hard work and investment in the young people in your care.

Be thankful

Pray continuously for your children and pray with them. God will bless you, help you and provide what is needed to raise the children according to His word. Pray, ask, seek, knock and He shall answer and the doors shall be opened -Matthew 7:7 -11.

Pray continuously!
Pray with them!
Pray for them!

It may not appear so at the time when you are faced with troubled waters, your patience and even faith can be tested. I say, be patient, be still and know that the God you serve will never fail you. Children are gifts from God. God will not give you a burden too hard for you to carry. He will give you strength, grace, wisdom, patience to appropriately raise the young people in your care.

God is forever faithful

Always remember that Children are from God. They will bring purpose to our lives making it colourful and worthwhile.

Children are  gifts from God
